Mary H. Edwards has attained the Teacher of the Year Award
HOUSTON, TX, July 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary H. Edwards, Choir Teacher for Alief Independent School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in music instruction.
With 18 years of professional experience, Ms. Edwards excels as a choir teacher for Alief Independent School District. Specializing in music production, she conducts choirs and classes, identifies false notes, leads rehearsals, performs on the piano in rehearsals, and supervises the choral area of the glee club.
Ms. Edwards received her Master of Music in Choral Conducting from The University of New Orleans in Louisiana in 2001. She is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Choral Directors Association. She pursued her profession due to her lifelong interest in music, and she attributes her success to the support she received from her mother and mentors. In the future, she intends to develop the glee club.
